Our Covenant
We come together to experience and love God; to accept, respect, and love each other—by practicing spirituality that is God-centered, Biblically grounded, Christ-following, Jesus-patterned, and Spirit-saturated.
To pursue this purpose, we covenant together in striving to:
Glorify God in all we do individually and as a fellowship. We celebrate the defining, creative, and loving presence of the divine within us and between us.
Accept, respect, and love each person who encounters the Fellowship. We promise to cherish and celebrate our love for each other, which is the primary Biblical and Christian measurement of how we love God and understand the kingdom of God.
Embrace the inspired Word of the Bible the Logos or Christ at work throughout Scripture, as sufficient to make us newborn in Christ—realizing fuller lives of freedom, joy, peace, and love. God’s grace allows us to experience healing, salvation, and wholeness as the signs following our transformation through Christ.
Be Jesus-patterned in our motives and actions, especially in caring for and bringing healing to those who are the “least among us.” We see this as moving towards restoring the original Christianity practiced by Jesus.
Be Spirit-saturated, surrendering to the Holy Spirit in everything we do, as the condition through which we more effectively accomplish our practice of spirituality. This includes repenting of self-centeredness and surrendering to the new birth promised through the Comforter, the Holy Spirit.
Further realize Jesus’ primary message of the kingdom of God as existent right here and right now. We strive to be an evangelical witness of this to humanity. We believe active Christian community service, prayer ministry, and empowering youth are essential to that witness, so that our community may feel the presence of God at work.
Help people discover their spiritual gifts, develop and share them, and have their gifts affirmed by others. Each person in his or her own way is called to be a minister of God and to further the inward nurture and outward embrace of the Fellowship.
